Equinox Rivian Character Design

For my Final Major Project at the BRIT School studying Digital Arts, I created a fake Comic Campaign for a story about the beginning of the world through the perspective of entities, and the tragedy that unfolds from their own naivety and jealousy. This is Rivian's Character Sheet and the sketches that led up to it. He is the tragic protagonist of my story, he is the entity of death, destruction and darkness and one of the first beings to form in this world. His lover the life entity(Alyra) commits a violent, unforgivable act that leads to her and Rivian's roles being reversed: he becomes the new life entity whilst she is transformed into the death entity. You can see both of these forms displayed in the character sheets. I wanted to visually express how much he gained when they transform, he was alone and different and then suddenly became exactly what he had always dreamed of, but at the cost of his lover
