Equinox Alyra Character Designs

For my Final Major Project at the BRIT School studying Digital Arts, I created a fake Comic Campaign for a story about the beginning of the world through the perspective of entities, and the tragedy that unfolds from their own naivety and jealousy. This is Alyra's Character Sheet and the sketches that led up to it. She is the main tragic hero turned antagonist of my story, she is the entity of life, creation and light and one of the first beings to form in this world. She commits a violent, unforgivable act that leads to her and her lover's roles being reversed: he becomes the new life entity whilst she is transformed into the death entity. You can see both of these forms displayed in the character sheets. I really focused on visually showing how much she has lost and the consequences of her actions never leaving her, for example her hands are now permanently stained red with blood.
